- While standard lead-acid chargers can be used (Do not use if it has an automatic "desulfation mode", "repair", "recondition", or "recovery" mode) with Shorai batteries when needed, the Shorai BMS01 Battery Charger is specifically designed to charge, maintain, balance and diagnose Shorai’s LFM batteries. Shorai batteries have the same charge requirements as AGM lead-acid batteries and all modern vehicle charging systems work with Shorai LFM batteries.
