Rather than producing and selling an eco friendly notebook that is made out of 100% recycled paper, Paper Saver took a new approach by asking, how else can paper that is destined to be recycled or go directly to waste be reused? The Paper Saver began when Jon Yong, an architect based in Melbourne, Australia, became tired of seeing sheets of printed draft designs become obsolete almost as soon as they came off the printer, still warm. Seeing all the perfectly blank sides on the back of the paper, he knew he could put the waste paper to greater use rather than throwing it into the bin, even if it was the recycling bin. Given how much the environment is impacted just to produce the paper we use so freely, he fashioned a device in which the paper could be inserted to conveniently use it to scribble notes and designs on the blank sides. Soon, he realised the Paper Saver wasn't only a solution to his problem, but it could help many more people reduce their paper waste as well, and more importantly, the environment.
