‘The Fogg Checkpoint Bridge’. Every key stage of the tea routes are marked by the Fogg Bridges, on passing beneath the bridge a bell is rung and the time of the section is logged and relayed back to the Bassett –Lowke factory. Once a complete route is finished all sections are totalled and the fastest train wins the contract.
